About Ropil

Ropil is a non-custodial web interface that lets you route cross-chain swaps through three independent third-party protocols — LiFi, Relay, and THORChain. It is software you choose to use. We do not custody your funds, do not match orders, do not give financial advice.

What Ropil is

• A static front-end that connects to your self-custodial wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect-compatible).
• A router that asks LiFi, Relay, and THORChain for the best execution path for the swap you describe, then prepares transaction calldata you sign and broadcast.
• Privacy-engineered: no cookies, no tracking pixels, no IP logs, no wallet-address collection on our infrastructure. See the privacy policy for the engineering details.
• Pseudonymously operated. There is no corporate entity behind the interface, no token, no investors, no fundraise.

What Ropil is not

• Not an exchange. No matching engine, no order book, no custody, no off-ramp.
• Not a wallet. Bring your own. We never see, store, or transmit your private keys.
• Not regulated. The interface is a piece of open-protocol software. The Underlying Protocols are the counterparties — their risks, fees, and finality rules apply. Read the risk disclosure before you click swap.
• Not available to residents of sanctioned jurisdictions. See terms §4 for the exact list.

The three engines

LiFi

A meta-aggregator that scans dozens of bridges (Stargate, Across, Hop, Connext, Symbiosis, …) and DEXes per chain, returning the best-output route. Strongest for EVM ↔ EVM with deep stablecoin liquidity.

Relay

An intent / solver network. Instead of you sending across a bridge, professional solvers fill your request from their own inventory and settle later. Fastest for L2 ↔ L2 stablecoin moves — often under 30 seconds.

THORChain

A native cross-chain liquidity protocol that holds real BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, BCH and others in vaults run by an anonymous validator set. The only realistic way to swap native L1 assets without a CEX.

Fees

Each route includes a fixed 30 bpsaffiliate fee paid to Ropil at the engine level (LiFi's integrator fee, Relay's appFees, or THORChain's affiliate memo). This is the only revenue stream. Network gas, protocol fees, and slippage are paid to the Underlying Protocols and validators — we do not see them.

Stack

Next.js + React, LiFi Widget, wagmi + viem for wallet plumbing. Self-hosted analytics via Plausible. No third-party trackers. Fully static; the only server-side surface is a thin proxy to the engines' public REST APIs.
